Management Team



As one of the original founders of LifeLine in 1990, Shane has held multiple positions in direct care and management departments over the years, working with thousands of teens and their families. His experience and passion helps guide the vision and mission of LifeLine as we strive to be the best at helping teens.  He is a graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in Psychology and he received a MBA from Brigham Young University. 



Dan is a graduate of Weber State University in Social Work. He received his Master’s degree at the University of Utah and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Dan is responsible for the clinical program, the supervision of the professional staff and the program development. Dan is trained in EMDR, a trauma based therapy.  Dan has a deep passion for the work he does at LifeLine and has been working here since 1999. In addition to the work he does at LifeLine, Dan is also involved in community drug rehabilitation work. He is a significant positive role model for the youth, leading by example.



Katye has always had a passion for working with youth and has served as a volunteer in youth organizations prior to joining the LifeLine team.  She brings great experience in business management that is a tremendous asset to the leadership team at LifeLine.  Her compassion and understanding helps guide families through the admission process and create a positive beginning to their LifeLine experience.



Dr. George completed her MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2007, her residency in psychiatry at Maine Medical Center in 2011 and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the University of Utah in 2013. She has her own private practice in Centerville, UT since 2013 and has been with LifeLine for Youth since 2014. She supervises all medical personnel and does a complete psychiatric evaluation on each client admitted to LifeLine along with the ongoing medication management of each client. Her approach to medication management is conservative and aims to help these teens learn their diagnosis and the importance of medication in the overall treatment plan. She meets weekly with the Clinical Director, Therapists and Nurse to coordinate the care of clients.     She loves working with teens!



Erik graduated from the University of Utah with a double Bachelor’s in Sociology and Community and Consumer Studies. He graduated with a Master’s from Arizona State University in Social Work. Before coming to LifeLine, he worked with juvenile sex offenders in a residential treatment facility. Erik also has experience working with military veterans at the Department of Veteran Affairs. In his spare time he enjoys running, road biking, working out, partaking in sporting events and spending time with his family.


Aleks graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. She then achieved her Master’s in Social Work. Aleks has been trained in EMDR, a trauma based therapy and is passionate about assisting in the healing process. Aleks has experience in working in the hospital setting as well as working with conduct disordered youth as an undergraduate. Aleks has great skills in connecting with the youth and has a very kind and compassionate approach. Personally Aleks loves being outdoors and enjoying various recreational activities with friends and family. 


Caitlin graduated from the University of Utah with Substance Use Disorder Counseling and a Masters in Social Work. She has been trained and certified in EMDR, a trauma based therapy. Caitlin’s experience history has involved working with adult men who were primarily homeless and veterans suffering from trauma and substance use, investigating elderly abuse with the State of Utah and clinical therapy work with populations who were under parole/probation with state and federal organizations. She has experience working and volunteering at LifeLine for Youth, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Children’s Center. Caitlin has a strong passion for bringing youth closer to their communities and families.


Terrie has been in the medical field for over 20 years. She began as an EMT and worked on an ambulance for 14 years before going to work in an emergency room for three more years.  This inspired Terrie to complete an Associate’s Degree and paved the path towards her future career.  In 2009 she began working at a residential treatment center while she went to school to receive her title of RN.  Since her graduation from Ameritech College, she has worked in home health and was a nursing supervisor for four years at a behavioral health hospital. Now she looks forward to spending time helping and caring for the clients of LifeLine for many more years to come.
